Léonce Lemmens is a Dutch contemporary abstract painter whose practice focuses on the relationship between art, space and experience.
Her work is rooted in an intuitive painting process, allowing each composition to develop organically through layered applications of color and texture.

From early on, Lemmens developed a strong interest in how art interacts with interior and architecture. Rather than approaching painting as a purely autonomous object, she conceives her work as an active presence within a space. Light, scale and spatial context play an essential role in how her paintings are experienced.

Through abstraction, Lemmens creates room for personal interpretation and emotional engagement. Her work balances movement and stillness, resulting in paintings that bring calm, depth and cohesion to their surrounding. 

Léonce Lemmens participated at international exhibitions in Berlin, Madrid, Paris, Milan New York and Seoul.
