Biography
The Meandering Journey
My path to becoming a full-time autonomous painter has been an organic, meandering exploration. In my youth, I studied shortly at the Art Academy in Maastricht. However, life soon took me in different directions. I spent several years working in advertising and public relations field, followed by decades of dedicated professional work within healthcare and corporate organizations.
Throughout these years, painting remained private. Decades of observing human connection, structural balances, and professional dynamics became an invisible emotion waiting to be released.
In 2014 a transformative journey to the Mongolian side of the Gobi Desert served as the ulimate catalyst. It broke the silence. I returned to my studio with a renewed urgency to paint, transferring a lifetime of memories, visited spaces and raw emotions directly into the heavy layers of the canvas.
Artist Statement
Capturing the Unsayable in Layers
‘I am deeply fascinated by that which cannot be expressed in words. My work emerges organically – responding directly to the paint, the texture, and the intuitive moment. Through a profound process of building up thick, physical layers and intentionally scratching them away , I create a history on the canvas.
Ultimately, my visual language exists at the intersection of serenity and sudden, raw impulse – creating art that is not merely to be looked at, but to be felt.’

Due to personal circumstances, I will be taking a temporary break from exhibitions and in-person events in the coming months. My work remains available and visible online. I will resume my artistic activities and future projects as soon as possible.
