Art Meets Textiles is a crossover project where fragments of paintings by Léonce Lemmens are digitally printed onto luxurious fabrics such as silk an linen, By translating colour, movement and texture from the original canvas into fine textiles, each piece becomes a new, tactile artwork – a form of art that can be worn, touched and experienced.
The designs were produced in limited editions, crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
Because Léonce has spent extented periods on Bonaire, part of the photoshoot took place on the island. The coral structures, tropical light and tranquil landscapes created a natural setting that beautifully complements the softness of silk and linen. The images reveal the essence of the project: art in motion, shaped by wind, light and nature.
Art Meets Textiles becomes a meeting point between painting and design.
