Art is more than filling a wall - it is the reflection of personality, connecting rooms and bringing spaces to life. As an abstract painter, I strive to capture the ephemeral and translate what touches my heart onto the canvas through layers of paint, color and mixed media.

I love finding connections between completely different places I have visited. From the rich clay tones of Moroccan tanneries and the historic walls of Peru, to quiet South European streets and the autumn colors nearby my garden, these memories are all connected by the grounding warmth of earth tones.
It is amazing to see how one color palette connects different continents and stories.
I love looking at this weathered face. It is centuries old, yet it feels completely modern. The textures, the deep lines, and that calm, steady look speak directly to the heart. It is the perfect reminder that the most beautiful things are often the ones shaped and broken by time.
There is a specific kind of stillness that only happens right after the sun goes down. Looking back at this horizon in Kralendijk -Bonaire- I am still moved by the transition of the light - warm orange meets the deep blue of the evening. Reflecting on the time I was there, those memories still influence the colors in my work.

I am constantly searching for visual stories that spark my imagination and found myself inspired by the concept of contrasts - what happens when two entirely different worlds meet.
Whether it’s the sharp edge of modern steel, or the soft organic texture of centuries-old mud baked by the desert sun, it tells me that beauty lies in the meeting of extremes.

Looking back at the images, I am reminded that looking back at our heritage is just as important as looking forward to the future. It’s within these contrasts that the best ideas are born. I feel lucky to have experienced this.

International Contemporary Art Fair | Paris
In 2022, I had the privilege of presenting my work at Art3f Paris, the international contemporary art fair held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
Represented by Monat Gallery Madrid, two of my abstract paintings were selected for presentation at this prestigious international art event.
For me, exhibiting in Paris, was more than a presentation of my work. It was an opportunity to place my paintings in an international context and to share my visual language with collectors, art lovers and professionals from different backgrounds.

(Antoine de Saint-Exupéry)As a faithful companion; art as a haven of safety in which to take refuge; art as a tool through which to express one’s emotions. Art means being yourself. The contemporary Dutch artist Léonce Lemmens had a complex relationship with painting during her life, but, despite this, she always reserved a special corner in her heart for it. A trip meant a great turning point for Léonce: after her return from a travel through the Gobi Desert abstract art became a fundamental part of her everyday life. People, events, landscapes are the source of inspiration during the creative process that leads to the creation of profound meaning. INTO ANOTHER WORLD was created in 2021 with a mixed media technique, acrylic and oil on canvas. Several layers overlap, creating a play of levels and color contrasts. Black and white intertwine with a warm color like yellow and a cold color like pink giving rise to a curious effect. The title invites the viewers to immerse themselves completely in the work and travel with their mind to another world. How do you imagine it? What is fantasy for if not to escape from the sometimes-oppressive reality, travel to unexplored places and experience new sensations? Observing the works means talking to the artist, but also getting to know yourself better. Open you eyes, heart and mind and get involved by the flow of thoughts and emotions. With Art Meets Textiles I bring my paintings to life inside the home. For this project, I translated the colors, layers and textures from my paintings into fabrics and created luxury, handmade pillows and textiles. Instead just hanging on the wall, art becomes a tactile part of the room. This collection shows how art and design beautifully come together in everyday living.

Sometimes, a new start needs a foundation. This large piece (120×120cm) marks my return to painting in 2013. The texture and soul of the work are enhanced by the surface itself: a robust linen canvas by an Eastern European artist. By painting my own story over her work, a dialogue emerged between two creators on a linen canvas.
